Barnsdall Fridays Wine Tastings are BACK!
BARNSDALL FRIDAY IS BACK! BARNSDALL FRIDAY IS BACK! BARNSDALL FRIDAY IS BACK! BARNSDALL FRIDAY IS BACK! Memorial Day has been celebrated, summer is officially here. Which means that Barnsdall Friday, the Wine Tasting hosted by the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, is back. The foundation has spent the last few months preparing and improving on last years success, and look forward to another wonderful summer. We will kick off the summer with a great selection of wines from Silverlake Wine, delicious food for sale from Let’s Be Frank, Mandoline Grill, Canters, and La Guera Tamalera (or bring your own picnic). Once again, we will also offer GUIDED TOURS of the inside of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece, the Hollyhock House, led by house docents. Tickets that include a tour can be purchased in advance for $35 (the additional $15 fee for the house tours will go directly to the restoration needs of the Hollyhock House.) Tours start at 5:45pm, 6:15pm, and 7:00pm. Space per tour slot is limited; if they do not appear above, they are SOLD OUT. Please purchase your tickets earlier in the week to guarantee a slot. Due to last years phenomenal success, we are expecting to sell out each week through on-line sales only. Therefore, we have made it even easier to purchase your tickets ($20/each). All the proceeds from the wine tastings this summer are benefitting great programs and projects sponsored by the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, including Free Sunday Art Classes for children, and important capital improvement projects like the Barnsdall Monument Sign. Finally, we want to remind you that because of capacity concerns, we can no longer accommodate guests who show up at the door without buying their wine tasting online. Please make sure you go online before the event at http://friday.barnsdall.org, and please forward this email to your friends to make sure they buy in advance too!For those adults who want to come but not participate in the wine tasting, we are requesting a $5 donation at the door (no outside wine is permitted).
