This has been a very busy year!
We have seen many successes this year, and in great part it is due to the support
of people like you. As the only non-profit support organization for the entities
within Barnsdall Park, we are very grateful that you share our commitment to the
park being celebrated as a dynamic cultural, artistic, and recreational destination
for Angelen&;os and visitors alike.
Here are some of the exciting things you helped the Foundation accomplish in 2011:

on Hollywood Blvd. This capital project has been a Foundation priority for several
years, to provide important visibility for the Park, and showcase all that the park
has to offer, with an elegance Frank Lloyd Wright and Arline Barnsdall would be
proud of.
Gifting $25,000 towards the five cultural entities’ direct capital needs, including
new audio-visual equipment for the Theatre, a new piano for the Barnsdall Art Center

and restoration of the Hollyhock House’s mahogany countertops.
Funding essential professional and skill development workshops for the full- and
part- time employees throughout the park, for which there is no money in the city
budget.

which have provided free art to thousands of children in the neighborhood year-round.

The current difficult fiscal climate in Los Angeles has made your support more critical
than ever.
Often we find this time of year is when many of us begin to narrow down our charitable
